CONSULBOOKS · LAUNCH PREVIEW

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ConsulBooks stores, why it is needed, and the choices available during the public launch preview.

Effective September 8, 2026

Information we receive

When you sign in, ConsulBooks receives an account identifier and may receive your email address and display name from the sign-in provider. We store the business profile, transaction files, categorization choices, vendor rules, settings, and audit history you create in your workspace.

How we use information

We use workspace information to provide transaction importing, categorization, review, bookkeeping reports, exports, and change history. We may also use limited technical logs to keep the service working and investigate errors or abuse.

AI-assisted processing

ConsulBooks first applies saved vendor rules and conservative categorization logic. When an AI service is enabled, uncertain transaction descriptions may be sent for categorization. The workspace identifies whether that AI connection is active. Do not upload information you are not authorized to process.

Sharing and selling

ConsulBooks does not sell workspace information. Information may be processed by infrastructure and service providers only as needed to operate, secure, and maintain the product, or disclosed when required by law.

Your controls

You can review your transaction history, export transaction and profit-and-loss files, change learned rules, and reset the sample workspace. Keep your own copies of records required for accounting, tax, or legal purposes.

Financial connections and payments

Direct bank connections and Stripe subscription billing are not active in the current preview. This policy will be updated before those services begin collecting or processing additional information.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the preview adds features. The effective date at the top of this page will change when a material update is published.
