Official sources first
Pricing, plan limits, product features, partner programs, and security claims come from the provider's own U.S. pages or official help center. We do not use affiliate roundups as evidence.
HOW OUR COMPARISONS ARE BUILT
ConsulBooks publishes comparisons because buyers search for them—and because a new product should explain where it fits. ConsulBooks authored these pages and benefits when readers choose it. That commercial interest is disclosed on every comparison.

THE STANDARD
Pricing, plan limits, product features, partner programs, and security claims come from the provider's own U.S. pages or official help center. We do not use affiliate roundups as evidence.
Prices and features change. Each comparison has a visible review date, distinguishes regular list price from promotions, and notes announced future changes when an official source publishes them.
A lower price is not feature parity. Each page names the workflows ConsulBooks does not include and describes who should choose the competitor instead.
ConsulBooks identifies itself as the publisher and discloses its commercial interest. A competitor is named as the better fit when its capabilities match the buyer more closely.
Desk research is labeled as desk research. We do not imply that we purchased, benchmarked, or tested a product unless that work was actually completed and documented.
We compare current regular pricing, transaction and bank-feed workflows, statement imports, human review, AI assistance, users and accountant access, reporting, security evidence, operational breadth, and meaningful plan limits.
We prioritize the questions an owner or accountant must answer: What can I connect? What still needs human judgment? Can my accountant get the records? Which workflows are missing? What will the normal monthly price be?
Claims are checked against the released product. A built but inactive integration is labeled inactive. Cash activity is not called a GAAP statement of cash flows. Posted double-entry records are not called formal bank reconciliation, reviewed books, audited records, or a completed close.
We do not publish ratings, market-share claims, customer counts, certifications, or performance measurements without supporting evidence.
Core comparison pages are scheduled for monthly fact checks and are updated sooner when an official provider announces a material price or plan change. The visible review date changes only after the page is actually rechecked.
To report an error, email support@consulbooks.com with the page, disputed statement, and primary source. Material corrections should be made promptly and without hiding the competitor's advantage.
Every page must answer a distinct buyer question with original analysis. We do not generate thin location pages, near-identical keyword permutations, or pages whose only purpose is to funnel a search visitor elsewhere.
The focused set includes six ConsulBooks comparisons, one neutral QuickBooks–Xero guide, and one substantial three-way decision guide. New pages are added only when the search intent and analysis are meaningfully different.
